Always good to remember the sacrifices of those who serve as cannon fodder for politicians' follies.
WWI was a tragic mistake that cost the lives of millions and set the stage for WWII, the Cold War, many of the Middle Eastern conflicts, Bosnia/Serbia/Kosovo, etc.
Just think if we had not "won" the war, or had we actually created a just peace, there may have been no Hitler.
I pray that those on both sides, military and civilian, who lost their lives and their innocence will rest in peace and that light perpetual will shine upon them.
For those who lead young men and women into unnecessary and unjust foreign wars, I pray that God will have mercy upon their souls.
